Hi! My name is Jessica, and I am fundraising for a dear friend. Marie and her family emigrated to the U.S. from the Congo. Marie and her husband were students at the college I work at. Marie began working in our office as a translator. I have never seen anyone work as hard as Marie. She quickly went from employee to friend. Everyone in our department loves and admires her. She is an extremely dedicated employee, wife and mother. Marie's husband was diagnosed with cancer last fall. Unfortunately, the cancer spread quickly and he passed away on May 26. While her dear husband was battling cancer, Marie had to provide for her family and care for him. I NEVER heard her complain. She stayed positive and continued to work because she knew that her family needed her. Marie now has to provide for her four children and it is going to be tough. I am asking my community to please come together to make her financial burden a little more bearable. Any donation would be a tremendous help. Prayers for her and her children will be much appreciated as well. If you find it in your heart to donate to Marie, please do so. She never asks for help but I know that this support would be a huge blessing to her family.
