Mariah and Gabe are expecting their sweet baby boy, Miles, but their journey into this pregnancy has taken an unexpected and overwhelming turn. During pregnancy, Miles was diagnosed with a severe congenital heart defect that will require immediate life-saving surgery after he is born. Because of the specialized care Miles needs, Mariah and Gabe have already been relocated to Stanford Hospital for the remainder of the pregnancy so they can be close to the hospital and all eight medical teams prepared to take care of him. While they are incredibly grateful to have access to expert doctors and advanced medical care, this sudden relocation has created significant emotional and financial strain.
As of December 26, 2025, things have abruptly changed—Mariah is now hospitalized at Stanford for closer monitoring on baby Miles. Mariah is scared and missing Sofia very much. As a family, we are pulling together and trying to be strong for Mariah, Sofia, Miles, and Gabe during this difficult time. Adding to this challenge is their daughter Sofia, who is just 2 1/2 years old. Sofia is a funny, silly little girl who loves music and animals, and she is about to become a big sister to Miles. With Mariah and Gabe needing to stay at the hospital to care for Miles, Sofia is also being uprooted from her home and will spend time away from her parents. Although kids are resilient, this transition will have an effect on Sofia as well, and the family is doing everything they can to support her through these changes.
Being away from home, facing mounting medical expenses, housing costs, travel, time away from work, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead has been more than any family should have to carry alone. Baby Miles is already so deeply loved, and Mariah and Gabe are doing everything they can to give him the strongest possible start to life. This GoFundMe is meant to ease the financial burden so they can focus on what truly matters—bringing Miles safely into the world, supporting him through his surgery and recovery, and helping Sofia adjust to her new role as a big sister.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward medical expenses, housing and living costs during their stay at Stanford, travel, and basic needs during this challenging time. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping their family in your thoughts and prayers means just as much. Thank you for supporting Mariah, Gabe, Sofia, and baby Miles during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express.
