Our beloved Mari currently was discharged from Inner Community Hospital in Covina, California today after being admitted over 1 week ago. She has been battling breast cancer for nearly a year. After she underwent a lumpectomy surgery on the largest tumor, her health declined significantly.

Currently she is transitioning into hospice care. As our family is staying closely by her side during these precious and limited days, we are facing the reality that her passing may come very soon. As we focus on being present with her, we are also urgently trying to prepare for funeral and burial expenses. The financial responsibility is overwhelming, and we do not have the full funds set aside to cover these immediate costs, as she was intended to be buried in Puerto Rico and not in California. As times have changed, so has the location of her resting place.

We are humbly asking for your help during this critical time. Any donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward securing funeral services and giving Maria the dignified farewell she deserves. Time is limited, and we are trying to make arrangements as quickly as possible.
