Margaret was 41 years old, at the height of a beautiful life built with love and intention, when she passed away suddenly, leaving behind “her boys,” Enrique and Enrique II.
She was the kind of person who made the world brighter simply by being in it. She was generous, joyful, and effortlessly herself. Chicago was her home, and her family was her greatest joy.
Margaret was an extraordinary athlete and a pillar of her running community, family, and friends; she was the one who held people together, made them feel they belonged, and made sure we always had something to look forward to. If you got to know her, you know that she was one of the best people. Her ability to love people exactly as they were made her one of a kind.
As a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend, she was devoted, kind, and full of light. Her nieces and nephews adored her. And as a mother, she gave Enrique II a love he will carry for the rest of his life.
Now, her husband and son are facing the unimaginable, learning to live in a world that no longer has her in it. If Margaret ever made you feel seen, supported, or simply glad to be alive, this is a way to give that back to the two people she loved most.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
