Manuel Torres Funeral Expenses & Molcajete Family

Manuel Torres was the kindest, most generous person I have ever known. He owned the restaurant in front of my apartment building, Molcajete Restaurant, in downtown Oakland on Webster, and we shared a kitchen wall. Manuel was always there for his family, friends, and the entire Downtown Oakland community. He constantly gave to those around him, feeding the hungry and homeless, hosting countless fundraisers, and supporting his family with unwavering love. On a personal note, when Manuel and his family knew I was struggling, they refused to charge me for food. Their generosity touched so many lives, and their kindness was a beacon in our neighborhood.

On Sunday, March 1, Manuel suffered a massive heart attack and left us far too soon. He leaves behind his lovely wife, Ana Rosa, and his three sons, Manuel, Mauricio, and Alexis, who are now faced with the unimaginable task of carrying on his dream and legacy. The loss is devastating not only for his family but for everyone who knew him. The Downtown Oakland community has lost a true friend and supporter, and the void left by Manuel's passing is deeply felt by all.

Manuel's family is now in need of support to pay for funeral expenses and to help with the cost of living as they come to terms with their profound loss. If you are able, please consider donating to help Ana Rosa and the boys during this incredibly difficult time. Your support will help them honor Manuel's memory and continue the spirit of generosity he brought to our community every day. Thank you for whatever you can give—no gift is too small or too great.

With deep appreciation on behalf of the Torres Family, thank you.

Sincerely, Stephanie Dalton

Atentamente, Stephanie Dalton
