In Loving Memory of Manuel Garibay

April 10, 1962 – June 14, 2025

Hello my name is Lori Boren. My best friend of ten years Taniesha and her family are facing one of life’s hardest heartbreaks — the loss of their beloved father. With heavy hearts, they are now navigating the unexpected journey of laying him to rest.

Manuel Garibay was born on April 10, 1962, in Las Zarquillas, Vilamar municipality, Michoacán, to Jesus Garibay and Sara Maciel Esquivel. He passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, in the comfort of his family home.

A devoted father, husband, son, brother and friend, Manuel’s life was defined by love, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to his family. With his first wife, Marie Garibay, he helped raise Tony, and together they welcomed Sabrina, David, and Taniesha into the world. He later found lasting love and companionship with his wife, Mary Garibay, who brought Brent and Katie into his life. Together, they built a beautiful life and completed their blended family with the birth of their son Max.

Manuel’s love was powerful. You could feel it in the way he showed up for his family: in camping trips filled with laughter, peaceful afternoons spent fishing by the lake, and late-night board games around the table. He was a steady presence, a humble soul, and a quiet protector whose legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.

He was deeply loved and will be forever remembered for his strength, his humility, and the unconditional love he gave so freely.

I have recently moved away from Oregon and am unable to be there by her side so I offered to set this up to try and help the family in any manner I can.

Funeral plans are being planned in hopes to raise adequate funds. This celebration of life will be held in Salem Oregon hopefully the beginning of July 2025, dates are still pending.
