Support Mangold Family Fire Recovery

A group of friends have come together to help Tracy and her family after a devastating house fire.

On January 2nd Tracy Mangold got a call from her son, her house was on fire. Several local fire departments did an amazing job, but the house and most of its contents are no longer usable.

As anyone who knows them will tell you, Tracy and her family are incredible assets to the Viroqua and global communities. Among all of her other contributions, Tracy creates a joyful preschool environment, teaches and empowers others with her herbal knowledge and medicines, writes and performs delightful and profound original music, provides therapeutic music to people at the end of their lives, volunteers with the Threshold Care Circle, providing education for home funerals and green burials, not to mention supporting her family and friends with her generous heart and bountiful knowledge of the natural world.

Tracy, her two sons, Caleb and Josiah, and her granddaughter, Tilia, shared the house with Tracy’s business. She ran her Waldorf-inspired preschool, Little Tree Kinderhaus, and her herbal medicine apothecary, out of her home. Her income will be greatly impacted by the loss of her home, business space, preschool supplies, and herbs.

Fortunately, Tracy did have home insurance, however, the cost of rebuilding will far exceed the maximum amount she could receive, even if her house is totaled. She will need to find a new place to live, a new place to run her school, and a new place to curate and process her herbs. Community support to make this possible will be gratefully accepted. If you feel moved to make a monetary donation, all funds collected will be used for housing for Tracy, her two sons, and granddaughter, for rebuilding her business, and for ensuring that the Mangold family can return to their lives of service as quickly as possible.
