Support for Mandy Alvarado

We are asking for your help: beloved mother to Brenden and Kendra,

daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend - Mandy Alvarado has experienced a major medical emergency.

Mandy suffered from a severe brain aneurysm, a seizure and two strokes since Friday, September 24th.

She was air-lifted from Promedica Defiance Regional Hospital to Promedica Toledo Hospital, where she was stabilized.

We are so grateful for the treatment and care she has received thus far, but Mandy has a long road to recovery. We continue to pray for her to improve from this critically ill condition, as she remains in the Toledo Hospital neuro-ICU. She has faced many medical complications and setbacks during her time in critical care, but healthcare heroes are giving the best care possible.

Mandy will likely need rehabilitation treatments that specialize in brain injury, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and will need support from friends and family as she makes steps on the road to healing.

By giving to this fund, you will directly help with Mandy’s medical bills, her post-ICU therapies and support. Mandy has been a support system to SO many people, myself included. Without a second thought, she has always been one to give and expect nothing in return.

I can write up this detail, this explanation and tell you that Mandy has been my best friend since high school and my first friend in Defiance (we would both laugh and tell you we wanted to first pull each other's hair). In truth, Mandy isn't just my friend, Mandy is my FAMILY and I know there are no depths she wouldn't go for me.

I pray that everyone this will reach has known a friendship like this, can relate and will give a fraction of that back for her. We (her children, parents, sister, family & friends) can't thank you enough for the thoughts, prayers, and support during this trying time.
