Hi, this is Maggie, writing on behalf of my mom.
On December 1st, my mom suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. Since that day, she has been fighting incredibly hard to heal. As she continues her recovery, our family’s greatest wish is for her to receive the very best care possible so she can continue making progress.
In her first week, she beat pneumonia and made it out of the ICU, which showed us just how strong and determined she truly is.
She is a ballroom dancer, a Disney lover, a devoted Nana, and a proud cat mom who adores her kitty. She is the heart of our family. We cannot wait to see her back on the dance floor doing what she loves most.
While we remain focused on her recovery, the medical costs and ongoing care expenses have been difficult for our family to manage, especially with making sure she is given the BEST support. Any support helps us ensure she continues receiving the care, therapy, and resources she needs to heal and thrive.
Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and for supporting our mama on this journey. Our mom is a bad b*tch and she is fighting!!!
UPDATE: Hi everyone As of today (1/10/26), we wanted to share an update on my mom’s progress. She has been in the rehab center for about three weeks and has been doing amazingly well. It’s truly remarkable to see her go from sleeping to now- She’s joking, chatting, and understanding conversations more and more each day.
While her progress has been so encouraging, she still has a long road ahead. Her right side is not yet functioning due to hemiparesis, but physical therapy is working hard with her daily to help regain strength and movement.
Speech therapy has been helping her connect the words she knows in her head so they come out more clearly. She recognizes all of us, understands what’s happening, and continues to progress everyday. We are so incredibly proud of her and endlessly grateful that she’s such a fighter!!
As she continues to heal, we have begun facing mounting medical bills. Any amount you are able to donate is truly appreciated. We don’t yet know how much care she will need in the future, but we want to be prepared to give her the very best support possible so she can recover to her fullest potential.
Thank you all so much for the love, support, prayers, and kindness. It means more than we can ever express.
