Lilly Martinez Reyes, lovingly known as “Mama Lilly” and “Lilly from Chinas,” is currently in critical condition in Fresno after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm. If you know Lilly, you know she is the heart of her family. She has spent years at China’s Alley Mexican Restaurant in Lindsay where she didn’t just serve food—she built relationships, made people feel seen, and turned strangers into family. She is funny, strong, and always the one showing up for others without hesitation. Right now, her children are doing the same for her. They have not left her side, taking turns around the clock to make sure she is never alone and always has someone there to speak for her. Her daughter Monic, who has worked alongside her at China’s Alley, has not been able to return to work because she refuses to leave her mom’s side during this critical time. The outpouring of love, prayers, and support has been overwhelming, and the family is deeply grateful. Prayer remains the most powerful support, and they ask that you continue to lift Lilly up. For those who have asked how else they can help, any donation—no matter the amount—is truly appreciated as her family remains by her side during this difficult and uncertain time.
