My name is Elizabeth, and I’m a single mom doing everything I can to take care of my daughter, Maddyson. She’s been struggling with hip pain for years, and after countless appointments and misdiagnoses, we finally learned the real cause: hip dysplasia.
Phoenix Children’s Hospital scheduled her for major hip surgery on June 24th, and while I’m relieved she’s finally getting the care she needs, the timing has put us in a really difficult place.
I recently started a new job, and because I’m still in my probation period, I don’t have any PTO or paid leave. I’ll need to be with my daughter through her surgery and recovery, which means I’ll be missing work and losing income during the most important time for her.
We live in Yuma, and her surgery and follow‑up care are in Phoenix. Between gas, food, and travel, plus keeping up with rent and basic bills while I’m out of work, I’m falling short. I’ve tried to prepare as much as I can, but the truth is: I can’t do this alone.
I’m asking for help so I can stay by my daughter’s side without worrying about how we’ll keep a roof over our heads. Every donation will go toward:
• Gas and travel to Phoenix
• Food while we’re there
• Rent and essential bills during the time I’m unable to work
• Anything Maddyson needs during her recovery
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send a kind message, it truly means the world to us. I’m not someone who likes asking for help, but I’m a mom first — and right now, my daughter needs me present, not choosing between work and her recovery.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us in any way. ❤️
