On January 8th, my sister Lydia was admitted to the hospital due to some numbness in her leg. After some testing, she was diagnosed with a rare disease called Transverse Myelitis. It has caused some inflammation to her spinal cord, which lead to paralysis in one of her legs. It could be temporary but the doctors aren’t sure. She has yet to re-gain feeling in her leg.
On the same day she was admitted, both her and her husband Cory were scheduled to leave for Las Vegas to start their training for their new job. That has been put on hold for now. Prior to that, they had also moved out of their home since they were planning on leaving. They are both currently without a job or a place to stay until Lydia is able to get better. Her sons, Tristan and Alex, are well with their dad and step mom and getting lots of support.
They could use some help with both medical and living expenses until she is able to leave the hospital and they can both go back to work. Any amount that you can give, no matter how small, would help.
On behalf of Lydia, Cory, Tristan, Alex and myself, we would like to thank you!
