Dear friends, family, and community,
As many of you know, I recently underwent LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) surgery—a major and life-saving procedure that now helps my heart move blood more effectively with the use of a battery powered pump. It’s been a challenging journey physically, emotionally, and financially, but I’m deeply grateful to be here and moving forward, one step at a time.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used to cover essential transportation costs, including parking fees for frequent doctor visits.
Additionally, I need to purchase medical devices for home care that are not covered by insurance, such as an INR machine, a home generator, and a Doppler machine. These devices are vital for monitoring my health, as my pulse is no longer detectable with conventional methods.
Living with this condition has brought about numerous challenges. I have increased visits to doctors for INR checks and blood pressure monitoring. The constant worry about power outages is overwhelming, as my life-sustaining devices rely on electricity.
Without power, my battery-powered heart cannot function, putting my life at risk. Your support will help alleviate these burdens and provide me with the stability I need to focus on my health and well-being.
Now in recovery, I’m working hard to regain more independence and improve my quality of life at home. However, there are a few essential items and repairs that I urgently need help covering to make this next stage possible:
INR Machine – To monitor my blood’s clotting levels safely at home
Doppler Blood Pressure Monitor – A more accurate tool for monitoring blood pressure as conventional pressure devices are ineffective
Chair Lift Repairs – My current lift needs urgent repair so I can safely move between floors
Minor Home Repairs – To ensure my home is safer and more accessible
Power Supply - to ensure an alternative for power in emergency situations for charging batteries
These may seem like small things, but together, they mean stability, comfort, and a safer environment as I heal and adapt to life post-surgery.
If you're able to contribute financially, no amount is too small—it truly makes a difference. If you’re unable to give right now, please consider sharing this with others or reaching out with a word of encouragement. Your support means the world.
