Support for Luzma’s Family for COVID

Hi everyone,

We are setting up this fund to support our fellow UMass-Amherst graduate student, Luz Maria. Luzma lost her beloved father a few days ago due to COVID and her brother is currently hospitalized in an ICU and waiting for a satisfactory response from intubation. She had to face legal battles in Colombia to obtain the care needed for her brother while her whole family is recovering from COVID. We hope this fund gives some relief to her family and supports the treatment and recovery for her brother.

Estamos organizando esta colecta para apoyar a nuestra compañera Luz María Sánchez durante estos difíciles momentos. Luzma perdió a su querido padre hace unos días debido a COVID y su hermano se encuentra actualmente hospitalizado en terapia intensiva, esperando una respuesta satisfactoria de la intubación. Luzma ha tenido que enfrentar batallas legales en Colombia para obtener el cuidado necesario para su hermano mientras ella y su familia se recuperan de COVID.
