Lulu was my best friend. She came into my life when I was in high school and stayed with me through every stage of growing up. Over 12 years, she became a constant, someone I was deeply bonded to and structured my life around.

A lot of my day to day life centered on her care, her routine, and making sure she was okay. She wasn’t just a part of my life, she shaped it.

Losing her has left a significant impact on me. It’s difficult to put into words what it feels like to lose something that steady and present for so long.

In her final days, Lulu required emergency medical care. I made the decision to do everything possible for her, which resulted in substantial and unexpected expenses.
