Support for Lukas Vojnov and the Vojnov Family

This GoFundMe has been set up on behalf of the Vojnov Family (Sasha, Kim, Lukas, and Maja) by their friends Steph Feddery and Jenn Petrolito. Funds are being collected here to help cover some of the immediate and long-term expenses for Sasha and Kim’s fifteen-year-old son Lukas, who was involved in a terrible accident on the weekend. The beneficiary is the Vojnov Family.

The unthinkable has happened to the Vojnov family this weekend. Lukas was hit by a car in a horrible accident. He arrived at SickKids with severe trauma and multiple injuries that left him in critical condition. After an extensive surgery by the wonderful Doctors at SickKids, Lukas has stabilized and begun to communicate in various ways. The Vojnov family is faced with the reality that there is a very long road ahead of them as Lukas suffered severe internal and external trauma. The full extent of his injuries and outlook is still unknown as it’s early days, but he will need extensive rehabilitation and various types of therapy as he works through recovery.

Lukas is a Gr.10 student who is wise beyond his years, kind and caring, and a wonderful big brother to his sister who misses him very much.

Many of you have reached out to Sasha and Kim and their family and friends to see how you can help. As a result, we asked if we could create this page to ensure that they can be with Lukas at all times and provide him the care that he needs without having to think of anything else.

Lukas received excellent care from the first responders at the scene, the Northumberland Hills Hospital, and the Trauma team at SickKids in Toronto.

Any contribution made is deeply appreciated and anything leftover will be donated to The Hospital for Sick Children. Kim and Sasha have continued to donate funds to SickKids for years following a previous long stay for Lukas when he was young and very sick.
