My son, Luis Rojas—known to many as "Sapo"—is facing one of the toughest challenges of his life. Recently, Luis was riding his scooter down a hill when it suddenly picked up too much speed. He lost control and was thrown 20 to 25 feet into the middle of the road. The accident left him with severe road rash all over his body, three broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a head injury that required surgery and reconstruction. He also needed stitches on his lip, and his right arm is currently not functional. On top of all this, he is experiencing a lot of pain in his right hip and knee.

Luis is not only dealing with the physical pain and long recovery ahead, he needs to keep up with rent and daily expenses. The medical bills are overwhelming, and the financial strain is making this time even harder for him and his family. As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to see your child in pain and unable to provide for themselves or their loved ones.

I am here asking for help because my son cannot ask for help himself. Luis is a wonderful son, a hard worker, and someone who always puts others’ needs before his own.
