Support for Luis Ortiz-Lopez’s Funeral

On June 15, 2025, my brother Luis Ortiz-Lopez was admitted to Saint Vincent for pancreatitis. Over the following week, his condition worsened unexpectedly, and he tragically went into cardiac arrest Despite the efforts of the medical team, Luis could not be resuscitated. He was only 29 years old. This sudden loss has left our family, especially my mother, devastated and unprepared for the expenses that come with saying goodbye and there is still so much uncertainty on how he actually died and why he went into cardiac arrest so to provide closure we would like to do an autopsy.

Luis was the kind of person who always put others first. He was an avid gamer who built real connections in the gaming community, and he was deeply passionate about technology. At home, he was always there to help our mother and support his family in any way he could. His generosity and kindness touched everyone who knew him, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.

We are reaching out for help to cover the costs of Luis’s funeral services and to support our mother, who relied on him as her caretaker.
