For the past couple days I've been fumbling my words around trying to figure out how I'm even going to post what I'm about to say but here it is..
My Dad, Luis A. Villegas, passed away Sunday night. It was very sudden, tragic and completely unexpected. For those of you who knew my dad and our family, you know how much my dad meant to all of us and how much we meant to him. He was a wonderful father, an amazing friend and the best grandpa to his grandkids. He loved them all so much and would never miss an opportunity to spend time with them. Just about every weekend we were grilling and chilling, watching football, UFC fights, hanging out and spending time together. Being around my dad was never a dull moment. He was always cracking jokes and had the most infectious signature laugh that was sure to make anyone around him smile too. I'm going to miss that. He was also the biggest supporter of our interests and hobbies. He always made it a priority to be there when it mattered most. If I was playing a show, it was guaranteed my dad was going to be there with a CYB shirt cheering us on. He was constantly raving about how great his kids were and wouldn't hesitate to talk about all our accomplishments. He really was our biggest fan. I'm forever grateful to have been able to call him dad, spend these moments together, and to have so many memories to reflect on. I could easily go on and on.
If you're reading this, please hug your family tight, cherish them and let them know that you love them when you see them.
Ive never been one to ask for anything, but if you can, please keep my sister and I in your thoughts and prayers as we begin to navigate through this next chapter without him. He left behind a void that nothing can ever fill and we could use all the positive reinforcement we can get. Thank you to everyone who reached out to us. The love and support has been tremendous and we're very thankful for that.
Till we meet again Pops.
Rest In Paradise
