Support for Luca & The Ferson Family
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Emily and Eric Ferson welcomed Luca into the world on June 30th, close to a month early.
This little blessing joins his sister, Lilli, and two older brothers, Henry and Teddy, in a wonderful and loving family, but his early arrival and some health complications have brought some unexpected challenges and unknowns to the family.
Luca was diagnosed with Cri Du Chat syndrome, a rare genetic condition. He is still in the hospital while ongoing tests are done to make sure he is ready to go home, and to answer some outstanding questions. According to Emily:
“Cri Du Chat can be life threatening as it can be linked with congenital heart defects. They will be scanning his heart sometime soon, hopefully tomorrow. It sounds like the scariest/life threatening stuff usually happens in the first year of life but once the kiddo is past that there is a good outcome for longevity.
Please pray for the following:
-pray and believe with us that Luca’s heart is strong and perfect! And that he will overcome all obstacles and challenges In Jesus’ Mighty Name!
-I stay COVID free so I can visit Luca in the NICU. As of now Eric and our son Teddy have tested positive. This mama is longing to hold her baby.”
It’s likely that this diagnosis will limit, at least for some time, Emily’s ability to work, as well as bringing unexpected medical bills and needs to the family.
Please consider showering our beloved Ferson family with support and help so their focus can be on Luca and their sweet little family for as long as he needs. ❤️

- Worst possible outcome: life threatening results on heart scans (we rebuke this!)
- Scary outcome: severe cognitive and developmental delays resulting in life-long challenges.
- Best possible outcome: Luca will have mild cognitive and developmental delays and live a long happy life.
