Louie "Luis" Miramontes died suddenly and most unexpectedly Saturday the 12th of October. My family met Louie playing Lorcana down at the Matrix and he and his family welcomed us in right away. His wife Sam and her sister Marissa are both moms to young kiddos and we enjoyed getting to know them. His family Samantha, Ava Emma and soon to be another sweet baby were staples weekly and as a dad I can tell you that Louie was so patient and good with kiddos. His grin was biggest when he was holding a baby or hanging with Ava. I watched him help people learn the game, with a big welcoming smile when folks walked in. I was envious of his hair, man that dude had some locks that we teased him about and laughed together. The hole he leaves is not able to be measured at the moment, I lack for words that carry the gravity of the situation. His family will need us all to support them but in a practical sense near term there are costs and things to be dealt with. As I said he leaves behind his wife and two super fantastic girls Ava and Miss Emma, and a baby we have not met yet. Please whatever you can spare will be appreciated, but just as important; be kind to each other, smile big, share and teach what you can with each other, the difference we all make in each other's lives is a choice each time. Louie you are missed already friend.
