Hello. This is a fundraiser for the health of Lorna Wachera, the daughter of Mary Wachera (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61577864210317), a friend of mine from Kenya on Facebook. (Her account got hacked several times.)

Lorna has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a disease that attacks the lungs, and she needs treatment such as oxygen to aid her breathing.

Unfortunately, the family cannot afford to pay for the treatment, so I'm making this fundraiser on their behalf in the hopes that they get the help they need. The treatment payment is due tomorrow.

[The full price of the treatment so far is only 12800 KES, which is not much in USA currency (around $100). I've set goal to around this much, though it may increase depending on what her doctors determine.]***

I may also increase it a bit for food purposes. They've been starving for days now.

I've already given a small bit of deposit for them.

HOW THE MONEY WILL BE USED

All donations here will be transferred to my account, which I will then use to donate to them via. Worldremit.

All donations will be used to pay for Lorna's treatment and food.

***Update: 11/21/25: This section has long been outdated. We have gone through several emergencies on her life throughout the 3.5 months this fundraiser has been going, and the treatment plans her doctors have made are expensive to the point that 12800 is no longer the threshold goal. It has long since increased since this point.

With her recovery taking longer time, the goal for this fundraiser may increase depending on the circumstances and how well we can respond and help her through her plight.
