I am currently fighting stage IV metastatic breast cancer, and the journey has been incredibly challenging for both myself and my family. Recently, I had to quit my full-time job, which provided a stable income, and now we are facing a period with no income until I start receiving disability benefits in September. Even then, the benefits will be less than half of what I was earning as a full-time employee, making it difficult to cover our essential needs.
