Lori Whitley and her husband Matt were recently involved in a serious car accident that changed everything in an instant. Matt is stable, but with heavy hearts, we share that Lori has passed away as a result of her injuries.

There are no words to fully express the loss her family, friends, and this community are feeling right now.

If you know Lori, you know this is someone who has always shown up for others without hesitation. Lori worked for the humane society, but her compassion didn’t stop when her shift ended. She spent years volunteering her own time fostering and caring for animals in need, opening her home and heart again and again. Beyond that, she quietly supported families in this community through some of their hardest moments. She helped people leave unsafe situations, guided others as they started over, and offered kindness and support to people she didn’t even know. She never asked for recognition. She simply cared.

That is who Lori was.

Now, her family needs that same support.

As Matt and their loved ones begin to navigate this unimaginable loss, the financial burden continues to grow. Donations will now go toward medical expenses, funeral costs, and helping Matt through the difficult days ahead.

We are asking our community to come together for someone who gave so much of herself to others.
