Today, Lori needs our help. On February 19th, she was rushed to the ER because she could barely breathe. It turns out that the severe flu she caught – together with the chronic lung condition that has been weighing more heavily on her for the past 8 months – became life-threatening. She ended up on life-support and was on death’s door for several scary days, but we are so thankful to say that she is out of immediate danger and is slowly making her way towards recovery.
We are so grateful to everyone who has been sending their love and support. For these difficult last few weeks, we have been limiting hospital visits to family-only while Lori tries to regain her strength. And although it will be a while before she’s back on her feet, when she leaves the hospital – hopefully very soon! – she will require lots of help.
Unfortunately with her condition Lori will be unable to work after returning from the hospital, but she still has a household to keep afloat. Between her son Jason and her sisters Kerry and Gaye, we are coordinating the help she needs, and we welcome every offer of support!
In particular, Lori’s most urgent needs are:
• Financial support – for utility bills,
• Meal deliveries
• Household maintenance
• Rides to medical appointments
If you can make a financial contribution (thank you!), please do so here on GoFundMe – Lori’s son Jason is managing this page.
If you are able to help in other ways, please email Jason and we can coordinate that help over email.
Thank you so much for your support. We are very grateful and appreciative of every single one of you who is sending back some of the love the Lori has blessed us with over the years.
