Earlier this week, our beloved mother was admitted to North Kohala Hospital after suffering from a stroke. Through physical therapy, she made incredible progress, even regaining movement in the limbs affected. We were hopeful. We were encouraged. We truly believed she was on the road to recovery.

Until on June 17th, 2025, she unexpectedly passed away.

We’re heartbroken. She was our backbone, our safe place, and our greatest supporter. Our mother was the definition of selfless. As a mother of five, she poured every bit of her strength, love, and energy into giving us a better life. She gave her all to ensure we were always fed, cared for, and surrounded by her unconditional love. She made sacrifice after sacrifice so we could chase dreams she never had the chance to. Losing her has left a hole in our hearts and lives that words can’t begin to fill.

While she adored her husband and children, her care and warmth reached everyone around her. She found joy in making others smile, often putting their needs before her own without hesitation. Whether it was a loved one or a complete stranger, she would go out of her way to bring happiness to others. Her presence carried a brightness that lifted spirits and left a lasting impact on everyone.

As we try to navigate the weight of this loss, we’re also facing the heavy burden of medical bills and the costs of laying her to rest.

We’re humbly asking for help to cover medical expenses along with additional funeral arrangements to give her a celebration of life surrounded by those who loved her. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to us during this difficult time.
