As some of you may know, Lola is currently on life support. She suffered a blood clot that traveled to her heart causing cardiac arrest and subsequent loss of oxygen to her brain. She is fighting for her life. This fund was created with the support of Lola’s mother, Ms. Erma Springfield, to ease the extreme financial burden placed on her family by this unfortunate circumstance.

Lola Lawal is a brilliant, vibrant, compassionate young woman of only 24 years. Born in Milwaukee, WI, she attended Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, WI. She speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese and plays the cello. After graduating from UW Madison with a B.A. in Language Sciences, Lola is currently attending Law School at Texas Southern University, studying Immigration Law. She dreams of using her multi-lingual abilities to buoy a future career in immigration law.

In October, Lola most recently became a mom to a beautiful baby boy named Cassius.

Everyone who knows Lola knows she is a comedian. She could make you smile in your darkest moments. She is the most empathetic friend to everyone around her. Lola never fails to support those she loves and is always a source of support to everyone around her.

Her son’s care is also of the utmost importance and will require as much support as possible when she is unable to care for him while incapacitated.

Lola lost a lot of oxygen due to respiratory or circulatory complications incurred during pregnancy, compromising Lola’s brain function. Her family is working on moving her to a long-term care facility and seeking out a second opinion on her condition.

As you may imagine, the cost of medical care in addition to transporting Lola to a long-term care facility is astronomical.
