My baby Loki has struggled with ear infections ever since I got him. He currently has had an extremely antibiotic resistant infection since February of this year. We’ve tried multiple different antibiotics and liquid medicine for his ear and nothing has worked. Last night I noticed some swelling around his ear and when I woke up this morning his eye was swollen shut. We went to his primary vet who recommended we go to the U of I emergency vet. We got here and he had a temperature of 106. They want to do a total ear canal ablation, which completely removes the diseased ear canal. He will need to be hospitalized tonight and hopefully surgery tomorrow but will also need a CT scan tomorrow to see the depth of the infection. we were quoted 7-9k. I’m currently not working full time hours due to school and we just dont have that to drop on the spot. Anything will be appreciated, whether it be a small donation or just a share!
