Logan Hedden, a Shelby County Detention Center Deputy Jailer, is a valued employee at his workplace. He was on his way to work when he stopped to help a car that was stopped in the middle of the road. The driver of the car became upset and agitated. As Logan tried to assist, the door to the vehicle was partly open, and suddenly the driver sped off, dragging Logan alongside the car until he let go and rolled underneath it.
Logan is now in the ICU with a fractured spine, slipped discs in his back, and many bumps and bruises. His face has suffered injuries, including black eyes and swelling. On top of this, Logan has a little boy preparing for a kidney transplant, a toddler, and a pregnant fiancé who is due to give birth soon. At this time, it’s unclear how long Logan will be out of work. The funds raised will help keep his family afloat during this difficult time, assist with any out-of-pocket medical costs for him and his son, and provide for baby necessities for the new arrival.
Times are so very tough for so many. This young family could use any and all help they could get. If you’re able to donate and find it in your heart to do so, please do. Shares and prayers are also welcomed.
