Support for Locklear Family After Tragedy and Death

Katara Chavis Raising Funds for Unexpected Loss of James "Peanut" Locklear and tragic accident of daughter Jayla Locklear.

On 3/12/2025 Ms Jayla Locklear age 18 had a tragic fall resulting a spinal cord injury and subsequent paralysis. Her mother Tracy and father James "Peanut" Locklear would remain by her side in Wilmington then Charlotte Rehab for 5 weeks.

Father James would be forced to return back to work part-time while still traveling to be with his family on the weekend. On Monday 4/14/2025 James would developed sudden cardiac symptoms that lead to his untimely death.

Ms Jayla came home yesterday requiring 24 hr assistance and care.

First and foremost the family ask for continued prayer. James did not have life insurance. He was a hardworking father, husband and provider. He lived a simple yet fulfilling life. Never intruding on anyone and always there to give a helping hand to those in need. Now it is our time to give back.
