LJ, my nephew, is the youngest of five children in my brother’s family. He was born early and has faced complications with his breathing since he was just a few months old. Now, at only 7-8 months old, LJ has already been hospitalized four times for breathing issues. Just over the last two days, he was hospitalized again and sent home on a breathing treatment.

My brother and his wife are doing everything they can to care for LJ and their other four children. My sister-in-law has been out of work, spending days and nights in the hospital with LJ, while both parents do their best to care for the rest of the family. The stress and worry have been overwhelming, and the costs of medical bills, treatments, and everyday needs are adding up quickly.
