Liz Mann and her family have been facing an incredibly challenging year. Hans, Liz’s husband, is in devastating heart failure, and after months of setbacks and extenuating health issues, they recently learned he is unable to get a heart transplant. The family has been navigating one obstacle after another, all while caring for their two children, Dee Dee (Cordelia) and Willy, and trying to keep life as normal as possible.
Hans’s condition has reached a point where he will need a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) implanted to pump his heart, and he will have to carry two battery packs with him for the rest of his life. This new reality has brought overwhelming medical bills, hotel expenses while Hans is in the hospital, and the added stress of living expenses since Hans is no longer able to work. Liz is doing everything she can to support her family, but the financial strain is immense.
Beth, a coworker and friend, is reaching out to the community for help. Any support you can offer will make a real difference for Liz, Hans, Dee Dee (Cordelia), and Willy as they face this difficult journey. Your generosity and kindness will help them cover essential costs and give them hope during an incredibly tough time.
