Support for Lizz Graham

On the morning of September 5, Elizabeth (Lizz) Graham was driving to work when she was involved in a catastrophic automobile accident. She suffered multiple internal injuries, and was air-lifted to New Hampshire's Trauma-1 hospital at Dartmouth. She has undergone several surgeries to remove her spleen, stabilize a punctured lung and broken ribs, and save her hemorrhaging liver.

Lizz worked for herself as a blogger and soon-to-be-published author, and part time at Southern New Hampshire University in the Academic Support department. In her three years at SNHU, she has endeared herself to many people and departments, and has been instrumental in supporting the SNHU mission of inclusion and student support. In her self-made work life, she is a spiritual leader in her temple community, had just signed her first book deal, is a beloved friend to witches, wizards and muggles alike, and is overall "the babe with the power" (a reference to David Bowie's 1986 song "Magic Dance" from one of Lizz's favorite movies, Labyrinth). 

Now it's our turn to give back to Lizz.  We are reaching out to ask for your support.

 Lizz is showing signs that she is fighting to come back from these injuries, but she will have a very long and painful road ahead of her. The expected stay in hospital may be as long as two months, and it will be even longer before Lizz can return to her work. She will have limited income during that time, and will face monumental medical bills as she heals, on top of the everyday expenses of rent, food, and medication. Please consider making a donation to help support the immediate needs (food and hotel expenses for her fiance and father, who have been at her side in the ICU since the accident), and her longer-term expenses as she recovers. Our support will help her pay rent, afford food and medical support, and allow her time to focus on healing.

This fundraiser was opened by Erin and Becky, two members of Lizz's work team. Withdrawals were initially set up to be received by her father while she was in a coma. We are pleased that Lizz is now able to receive her donations directly. Thank you!
