On February 15, 2026, a devastating house fire took the lives of my beloved sister, Katherin Berkstresser, and her daughter Olivia. The fire destroyed their home, leaving Little John and Amelia, Katherin’s surviving son and daughter, suddenly homeless and without basic necessities like clothes and food. This unimaginable tragedy has left our family heartbroken and struggling to find a way forward.
Your donations will help cover funeral costs for both Katherin and Olivia, provide temporary housing, food, and other essentials for Little John and Amelia. This support will give them relief from immediate worries and allow them to begin the grieving and healing process. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help these children in so many ways as they face life without the love and guidance of their mother and sister.
I was just there last week visiting my family due to a family emergency. Seeing all my family in one place made me so happy, watching the Super Bowl at my sister's house for the first time in 15 years. My mom, sister, brothers, nieces, and nephews were all under one roof. My sister was a single mom, worked as a nurse helping others for the past 13 years, which she believed was her calling. Her second favorite thing to do was being with her little ones. I can't imagine, as a young kid, how I would feel going forward in life without the love of my mother and sister. Thank you in advance for taking time to read our message and making a difference in this tragic loss in my family.
