9 year old Eddie is a bright, enthusiastic, kind Little Brother in our program, Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County. He recently went to the doctor for a broken leg, and doctors discovered cancer in his bone. Eddie and his mom Alicia are awaiting results from more tests so they can find a path forward.

Eddie and his Big Brother Joe have been matched for a year. They love to play video games, go to the beach, play at the park, and go fishing together. Eddie always looks forward to his outings with Joe, and they have already created lots of positive memories together. Eddie is currently in good spirits, and maintaining positivity as his leg heals and as he navigates this challenge with his family.

Eddie faces a journey ahead with treatments, hospital visits, and time away from school and friends. His mom Alicia is faced with unexpected medical expenses and time away from work. Eddie and his family need support to help cover medical expenses and ease the burden during this difficult time.
