Our dearest employee Lisa Everette found out some news a few weeks ago that that no one wants to hear. She received a phone call saying she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a heartbreaking moment for Gussied Up. As hairstylists we don’t have benefits as most jobs do to help with the unexpected expenses Lisa is about to have. She will not be able to work her regular schedule in the salon as she needs to take off to attend her doctor appointments, and scheduled days of treatments along with the days she needs to recover. She is a strong, and hardworking individual who is trying to manage how she can balance the treatments and work to help with her medical expenses, when in reality she needs to give her body a break and time to recover. We feel creating this GoFundMe page is a way to help relieve some of the stress in having to cover every penny for her treatments that she needs to overcome this battle.
