Hi, my name is London and I created this gofundme to support Lisa Griggs, my partner Steven’s mother. Lisa has been suffering the ongoing effects of two strokes, and the family has taken an emotional toll going through this challenging time.

Lisa had her first stroke back in 2020 and then another in November of 2025. Before this last stroke, she was in good spirits. She has always been a very strong and kind-hearted woman, even through the daily struggle of pain and suffering. Lisa was also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and Hashimotos Disease. Nevertheless, she was always so excited and happy to talk to Steven and I, and we spoke on the phone almost every day. Her and I had a special connection and I admired her positive attitude, her extreme generosity and welcoming nature. She gave even when she didn’t have a lot to give, and I found that to be incredibly inspiring.

After the most recent stroke, she was in the ICU for three months, finally discharged and went home for a week, only to come straight back to the hospital. She is now on anesthesia and unfortunately there are several other diagnoses at this point, including ulcers and sepsis. There is uncertainty as far as what to expect and it seems now that our time with Lisa is extremely limited.

As you can imagine, this process has been extremely difficult emotionally and financially on the family.
