Aloha, my name is Jamie Malia, and I am the niece of Lisa Ann Ochoa.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved aunty, Lisa Ann. She was a loving, kind, and truly amazing woman who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. After a courageous battle with cancer, Lisa gained her wings in Arizona, with her partner “The Moose” faithfully by her side until the very end.
Last year, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer, Lisa experienced an unimaginable loss — she lost her youngest son, Dylan. This devastating heartbreak took a tremendous toll on her and on our entire family. Despite the deep pain she carried, Lisa continued to show strength, love, and grace, always thinking of others even while facing her own suffering.
Lisa was deeply loved and will be forever missed by her children, family, and friends. Her love, resilience, and gentle spirit will remain with us always.
We are raising funds to help with medical and end-of-life expenses, as well as to bring Lisa home to Hawaiʻi so she may be laid to rest where her children and family can visit her, honor her memory, and feel close to her. Bringing her home means everything to us and would allow her to rest in the place she loved, surrounded by family.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated and will help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask that you share this fundraiser and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Mahalo nui loa for your love, kindness, and support.
With gratitude,
Jamie Malia & family
