UPDATE 5/9
I'm sorry I haven't been the best at giving updates on Timmy's condition this past week. His health has felt so back and forth and changed quickly all at once. I am sorry to say that, despite the fact that the doctors thought his organs were taking a turn for the better, they just continued to find more problems with Timmy's organs. They made multiple attempts to take him off of the ventilator with no success and had turned off his sedation completely over the weekend with no response from him. They called my mom today to suggest taking him off of life support. They took him off of the ventilator when she got there this afternoon and he passed quickly.
Please, please continue to pray for my mom as she has lost her brother and best friend. This was so unexpected and has been such an emotional roller coaster with so much grief.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for those of you who have been praying for both Timmy and mom and to those who have given financially to help them. If you have not yet done so and are able, please consider giving any amount of money you can to help my mom with the financial repercussions of not only the health and death-related expenses, but also of not having her brother/roommate to help her with the day-to-day expenses of life.
We are grieving hard over this and long for the day when these tears and sorrows will be no more and we will be in the presence of our loved ones and our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our gofundme account.
On April 25th, Timmy Walker was found unconscious while out of town in Charelston and was rushed to the hospital by EMS and admitted straight to the ICU where he’s been ever since. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and severe pneumonia almost immediately and has since been diagnosed with multiple organ failure. We haven't seen any improvements since admission, but we are being told that he is in critical but stable condition. We are hoping to get more answers in the coming days after getting the results of more tests.
Despite his constant effort and determination to work the past few months, Timmy has not been able to work much at all due to health conditions that have been preventing his ability to do so. This, in combination with the fact that the day-to-day bills keep coming in and that the medical bills will inevitably come soon, has made Lisa and Timmy's financial situation a difficult one.
They are always the first people to try to help people even when they barely have anything to give. They truly would rather go without something if it means that they can help someone else. However, now they are the ones who are needing help. We are asking any family and friends who are able to help financially to do so. Any little bit is such a blessing and will help immensely.
Either way, we are so so grateful for those who have been invested in checking in on them and especially for all of the prayers. Please keep the prayers coming for Timmy's health, guidance for his healthcare team, and for Lisa as she continues to drive back and forth and communicate with the doctors and nurses all while dealing with her own health complications and appointments. We love you all and are so thankful for you.
