Donation protected
UPDATE: July 6th
After 31 days in the Harborview burn unit, Lisa is home. Her burns will continue be in the weekly care at Harborview. Lisa continues to need daily care of her burns and will need multiple surgeries in the months ahead. Stew also is home and he is healing well. Their staggering bills are coming in and your help has been appreciated so much! Thank you for your continued prayers!
On June 1st my daughter and son-in-law were in a terrible explosion accident at their home. Lisa was intubated and Life Flighted to Harborview and Stewart was also transported up to Harborview in an ambulance.
Lisa has been in the ICU on a ventilator and has burns to her face and both hands and feet. Stewart was taken to the burn floor and has 3rd degree burns on his arm and hand.
They have two young boys in school and at home. Their oldest daughter is trying to take care of the boy’s, an in home elderly grandparent, her job and be at Harborview daily. There is no release date for either of them currently.
Almost two years ago Lisa suffered a C1 and C2 neck fracture that took months of recovery. She will never be free of neck pain. It was a miracle that she wasn’t killed or paralyzed. These next few months will be hard on the family as neither one will be able to work. We are asking for donations to assist with medical expenses while they both recover. Any help and prayers will be greatly appreciated. We appreciate the consideration and please keep the family in your thoughts
and prayers at this time. We are all under a great deal of stress. Thank you so much!
The Isom and Grindrod family.

Lisa has undergone multiple anesthesia assisted procedures. Due to the intense amount of pain she would experience if she was awake. Lisa was sedated this morning to check how much her hands had healed after the last procedure. The doctors said her hands are not showing any signs of healing. They have decided to graft both of her hands and fingers. She is in horrible pain and we are all grieving so bad inside watching her go through this.
They will do the grafts on either Monday or Tuesday with release date to be determined. Please continue to pray for her and our families. Thank you to everyone that continues to reach out. It’s appreciated very much!

Update on Lisa and Stewart’s accidental explosion. Stewart has been released and is still in pain.
Lisa…. She has a concussion and horrible flash backs that give her nightmares. Through all the prayers she has received she will have minimal issues with her face. Her feet are still bad. But her hands….they have not healed at all. It’s been 10 days and she still has not had any improved. This morning they are putting her under to decide if they will graft the hands, fingers and thumbs. She has very little movement or mobility with them. If they don’t graft she will be there another week. If they graft she will be there much longer. My heart breaks as they were just getting back on their feet from her broken neck. Their youngest son is heartbroken and crying. Their middle son has just went quiet. Their daughter has had to take over everything and still grieves. Please continue to pray and donate if the Lord leads you.
