Lindsey is an outgoing, loving, and caring person, and a mother to two beautiful girls. Recently, her life took a devastating turn when she was diagnosed with two damaged heart valves. One of these valves became infected causing embolisms to spread all through out her lungs and brain, which led to a severe stroke. Lindsey is now battling endocarditis, sepsis and MRSA, and she is unable to walk or talk. Her doctors have said that she is not a candidate for open heart surgery until the infection clears and she can eat on her own and regain some mobility. While in the hospital Lindsey had another stroke and her brain started to swell. The doctors were able to stop the swelling and keep her stable. Right now it is unknown how things will go with Lindsey’s health.

Lindsey’s hospital is four hours away from her family, making it incredibly difficult for her loved ones to be by her side. The distance, combined with the uncertainty of her recovery, has placed a tremendous emotional and financial strain on everyone who cares about her. Despite these challenges, Lindsey’s family remains hopeful that things will take a turn for the better and that she will eventually be able to talk and walk again.

Right now, the funds raised will help cover the costs of gas, food, and hotel stays so Lindsey’s family can visit her as often as possible. It will also help with any unforeseen expenses that may arise during her recovery. Nicole and her family are asking for your support to help them stay close to Lindsey and give her the best chance at healing.
