My mother, Linda Romero, passed away this morning, April 5th, 2026, at the age of 70. She had been bedridden and on home health care for several years, bravely facing each day with strength and dignity. Just over a week ago, Linda was mediflighted to Oklahoma City after struggling to breathe. It was then discovered that she had cancer, which had spread from her lungs to her trachea and brain. Following her wishes, she was removed from all life support last night and passed peacefully under the care of hospice early this morning.
Linda’s passing has left our family heartbroken, especially her granddaughter Justine Romero, who has been her primary caregiver for the past three years. Justine is a single mom who has managed to balance caring for Linda with maintaining a full-time job. Now, as she faces funeral expenses and the loss of income, she needs support to cover bills and navigate this difficult transition.
I am reaching out for help on Justine’s behalf, as I am not in a financial position to assist myself. Any support for funeral costs and Justine’s immediate needs would mean so much to our family. Your kindness and generosity will help ease the burden during this painful time. Thank you for considering a donation and for keeping Linda and Justine in your thoughts.
