A few days ago, my aunt Linda lost her home and everything inside it, to a fire.

Linda is our dad’s only sibling, we are her only family, and she has always been there for us, unquestioningly, for anything we have ever needed from her.

We are so incredibly thankful that she is safe, but the loss of her home and every one of her earthly belongings has been understandably overwhelming. We are trying to be there for her as she has always been for us.

This fundraiser is meant to offer her some support while navigating insurance and the many decisions to come. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help during this transition.

(It should be noted that Linda has been blocked from this post. She is currently doing fairly well emotionally, and we want to keep her that way as long as possible. She has not yet seen the attached photos, and at least for the time being, we are attempting to shield her from the shock and trauma of seeing the full reality of the damage to her home. )
