Support for Liliana and her family

In January of 2022 our family was struck by the sudden change in our sweet niece, Liliana's health.

At the tender age of 4 years old, Liliana was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma) ; a malignant brain tumor that is very agressive and difficult to treat.

Since her diagnosis, Liliana has undergone 6 weeks of radiation, which resulted in very little change in the size and severity of the tumor.

This is the only course of treatment currently available in conventional medecine, leaving her family on their own for any next steps.

In hopes of making a difference in her symptoms and prognosis her parents have turned to naturopathic/alternative medecine. Liliana is now taking very expensive, potentially life saving medicine and following a strict organic diet.

We have created this fundraiser to help Liliana's parents with the financial load that comes with this journey and allow them to spend this precious time with Liliana, without the added stress of their finances.

DIPG occurs in an area of the brainstem, which controls many of the body's most vital functions such as breathing, blood pressure, and heart rate. Unfortunately, there have been no medical advances for this type of brain tumor in children; providing little treatment options and poor outcomes.

Donations from this fundraiser will be going directly to Liliana's mother & father; Cynthia Alongi and Doriano Santamaria. Funds will be distributed between Liliana's medications, groceries, and everyday expenses.
