In 2020, I was diagnosed with a degenerative lung disease, which has been slowly damaging my lungs over the course of the past decade without me realizing it. We believe it stems from a house fire when I was a kid, in which I breathed in a large volume of smoke. In the same year, I lost my job during the pandemic, and due to catching a covid case on my weakened immune system, damaged my lungs further.

Today, after years of searching for a job that I can still do and making ends meet with odd jobs and temporary contract work, I am severely struggling to afford the medication I need to simply survive. A few days ago, I was hospitalized due to a blood clot forming in my lungs. While the doctors were able to remove the clot, they believe the problem will recur, and I am in need of a lung-sparing procedure for long-term recovery.

I simply cannot afford this cost on my own. The money I'm trying to raise would go toward the cost of the procedure, as well as my monthly medication costs. I would greatly appreciate any help that can be provided.
