Support for Liban's Mother and Siblings

Dear community, it is with a saddened heart that one of our young community members Liban Mohamed passed away over the weekend. Many of the people in Lewiston and Auburn grew up with Liban, and always knew him to be a funny, charismatic, welcoming, kind boy who loved to play basketball.

Liban leaves behind his mother Ifrah and two younger siblings who will be without him. We are raising funds to support Liban’s mother whose a single mother through a hard and challenging time. Liban had struggled with mental health issues, with both him and his mother struggling with community isolation. Liban had struggled with integrating, and was always kindly welcomed by his friends. All of the procedures will go directly to the family to aid with funeral costs, and relieve them of one less thing they have to worry about while they grieve and mourn.

“Every soul will taste death”, and this weekend was Liban’s time. Liban will always be cherished and remembered for his warm soul and his vibrant personality. But let it not be in vain, contribute for the sake of Allah and for the sake of a single mother grieving of the loss of her eldest child.
