Hello everyone!

In January this year, my entire world changed forever. After feeling unwell for a few months, I was scheduled to meet with a neurologist who ordered an MRI. Shortly thereafter, I was called back in after the doctors discovered a spot on my brain, that was later determined to be a bleed, and also an aneurysm. This was a very painful and scary time.

A month later, after many scans, appointments, and specialists, I was referred to the Mayo Clinic for continued care. There, it was established that I have a genetic blood disorder, HHT (Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia). This disorder has caused numerous other health concerns, including problems with my heart and lungs.

The past six months have been a long, exhausting, strenuous time for me and my support system. There has also been an enormous financial toll on my family and I. For months we have commuted back and forth from Minneapolis, MN to Rochester, MN, spending endless nights in hospitals and hotels, trying to manage my condition. The cost in medical bills alone has been detrimental. Support for this fundraiser will help ease the financial insecurity experienced while in treatment, which is ongoing. Donations will go to medical bills and expenses, transportation, housing, and other related needs.
