Support for Leo

Leo Cheverie is not a stranger to many. He is someone who shows up for justice, family, friends, students and just about anyone who needs a helping hand. His willingness to connect people with resources and opportunities has made him friends all over the globe. His reputation is someone with a big heart who spends countless hours organizing for justice, volunteering for the arts community, advocating for the union, and much, much more. He has also always been a friendly and helpful face around the UPEI library.

With all of the relationships he's made, it is no surprise that folks are asking how they can support him right now.

As folks may know, in February 2022, Leo was diagnosed with cancer.

This unfortunate news comes with an upcoming surgery (this week) and chemotherapy (over the next few months), therefore he will have to take significant time away from work and his volunteer activities.

We set up this page as a way to provide some relief over the coming months. Help with bills and any expenses associated with his treatments would be beneficial so he can focus on healing and recovery. We appreciate so much those who have reached out to ask how they can help to date.
