On the night of May 13th, my sister, Deborah, and her son, Leland (“Lee”), were brutally attacked by a former domestic partner. Tragically, the attack cut Leland’s life short and left my sister fighting for her life.

As a family, we are asking for financial support to help lay our sweet Leland to rest. Leland will be buried in Nebraska, and the transportation and funeral expenses are unfortunately very costly. Any funds received beyond funeral and burial costs will go toward supporting Leland’s siblings and helping with Deborah’s ongoing needs during her recovery. Due to the great town of Desoto Soto, we are just about there for paying for the funeral. Whatever amount is left will be sent for the funeral, and the remaining amount will be used to medically transport my sister to Nebraska. This is a massive cost, but a necessary one.

This tragedy has changed the lives of so many, and we are deeply grateful for any support, prayers, or shares during this incredibly difficult time.
