Leila is a devoted mother of two young adults, a loving wife, and a cherished friend to many. At 51 years old, she has always been someone who gives—whether it’s her time, her kindness, or her unwavering support for those around her. If you know Leila, you know her strength, her kindness, and her deep love for her family. Now, as she faces the most challenging chapter of her life, it’s our turn to rally around her and her family.
Today, Leila is facing stage 4, end-stage colon cancer.
In these past weeks, her husband has stepped away from work to care for her full-time while she has been hospitalized at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu. Their family is doing everything they can to be present for one another during this incredibly difficult time—but the financial strain is quickly becoming overwhelming. Their monthly mortgage and living expenses are mounting, and the uncertainty ahead is daunting.
And this is not something Leila would ever ask for help with herself. But as a community, we are called to carry one another in times like this. The funds raised will help cover their mortgage payments and basic living expenses, providing stability for Leila’s husband and children both now and in the months ahead. Our prayer is to lift some of the financial burden so their family can focus on what matters most—being together, loving one another, and finding peace in this time. Leila has always been someone who gives. This is our chance to give back to her, offering support and hope when it’s needed most. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference for this incredible family.
Our goal is to provide at least $2,000/month in support during this critical time. If you feel led to give, thank you. If you are not able to give, we would be deeply grateful if you would share this page and keep Leila and her family in your prayers. Most importantly, thank you for surrounding Leila and her family with love, prayer, and support.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
